I can’t believe it hasn’t even been a month see these two kids tied the knot. What a crazy weekend, and my first international wedding. I completely fell in love with Toronto, and I’m so sad I never had time to really wander around and takes pictures. Gorgeous city. Oh well, gives me an excuse to go back.
Speaking of things that are gorgeous, check out the train on that dress. Emily studies the history of dancing, particularly that practiced towards the end of the European Renaissance. Her dress was intended to be a nod towards the wedding dresses of the time, and thus was huge, bright red, and beautiful. Here’s one in color:
Both Emily and Chris are scholars, working on their PhDs. They met at the University of Toronto, which is where the wedding took place, in the amazing Hart House. Oh to be a fly on the wall during their ceremony; I’ve never seen anything like it. It started with a dance, telling a short but sweet story of courtship. That led into various and sundry scholars presenting papers on the topic of love, as perceived through the lenses of their particular course of study. I don’t think it would have been possible to have a wedding that was more them.
But I digress. Here, have some more pretties:
Until next time.

I really adore these pictures! That top one will probably be one of my favorites for a very long time.
